With everything that going on here at Wymore Guitars we felt it might be good to share some of the news with our customers and visitors. See entries below for some of what's going on ...

01/21/2009: We just got back from the 2009 NAMM show and it turned out to be a much more exciting trip than we had planned!! Show turn out this year was down a bit on both the attendee and exhibitor side which was noticeable but not as bad as I might have guessed considering the current economy. It was great to see old friends, enjoy the buzz and take in the people watching opportunities the show always provides.

We went into the show this year with an open mind but no particular agenda as to what we might want to add as product lines.

After cruising the show most of Thursday I came upon the DBZ Guitars booth. This is the company Dean Zelinsky started last May after his split from Dean Guitars. I was totally impressed by the guitars, the people in the booth and with what they have managed to do with the company in such a short time period. I immediately fell in love with the product and on Saturday signed on as a dealer and ordered a dozen guitars!!

I was also impressed with the lineup from Rockfield Pickups and will be adding them to our product lineup immediately. I feel this line has a lot to offer and compliments what we are currently doing with the Seymour Duncan products.

Another product we liked was the small trainer and recorder products from Tascam. Great products with attractive pricing, nice functionality and cool looks. It may be later in the year before we add these but they are definitely on the list!!

Other things of note were new product offerings from Seymour Duncan, Hipshot and Tech-21.

Seymour Duncan has come out with a Blackout version soapbar series for bass guitars as well as three new stompboxes. The boxes include a Blues version of the Twin Tube, the Double Back compressor and the Deja Vu tap delay. They have also come out with a humbucker ring that employs a slider switch that can do coil splitting and series/parallel switching at the touch of a finger. It's called the Triple Shot.

Tech 21 has introduced and updated version of the DLA which now includes tap tempo and other improved features. They have also re-introduced a 20th Anniversary version of the Sansamp Classic that comes in a reliced black case. Very Cool!!

Hipshot introduced a couple new extenders including the BT8 which fits the 2008 Fender basses as well as a new stainless steel Telecaster bridge. They have also introduced several new tuner buttons for the guitar tuner lineup.

All in all a great a great show for 2009!!
